//On Friday the 13th of April, the pupils from 3rd and 4th class traveled to the Wicklow G.A.A. Centre of Excellence in Ballinakill to participate in the South Wicklow Cumann na mBuncoil Football Blitz. They played, and won, three matches to progress to the final. They won the final and were presented with a cup.

We use the Grow in Love programme in the school from Junior Infants up to 4th class. Starting from September 2018, 5th and 6th will also be using the Grow in Love programme.

Fundrasier for School Jerseys
//Fundraiser for School Jerseys
Congratulations to 3rd and 4th class who succeeded in raising €613.54 in our fundraiser on Tuesday 27th February. The money raised is going towards buying a set of school jerseys for our kids to wear at future sporting events. Many thanks to children and families of the school kindly donated books, toys, DVDs, games and many other items for our sale. The 3rd and 4th class organised the stalls, priced the items and worked as sales assistants at the fundraiser. A huge thank you to everyone involved. We are delighted to have raised sufficient money for our new jerseys.

Pancake Tuesday! Thanks to all those who helped out today. We were stuffed with lots of pancakes and treats.

We have been learning all about Italy this week. Today we started to create some of our own projects to showcase all that we know!

We held a Football Blitz today for all of the pupils in 3rd to 6th class. We were split into four teams – Wicklow, Kerry, Mayo and Dublin. Well done to all who took part. Congratulations to the Mayo team who were our overall winners on the day!

Today is St. Brigid’s Day and it is the first day of Spring. During our Art lesson today we made some Spring flowers. Here’s some examples of our great work!

There was an explosion in 3rd and 4th class today. We followed a procedure to see our volcano erupting.

We had our first G.A.A. session of the year with our local trainer Bill. We all had great fun. We will have training with Bill every Monday afternoon so don’t forget to wear your P.E. gear.
